Planning Your Web Site
At SoftCircuits.NET, we can completely handle all the technical details of developing and publishing your Web site. We will work with you to ensure your Web site puts across the message that will best represent your organization. Of course, we still need you to tell us what your Web site will say, and you'll get the best results if you first spend a little time planning your site's content.
Although the layout you'll want will depend on the type of information your Web site contains, this page offers some guidelines on mapping out the pages on your site.
For smaller Web sites, your page layout might look something like this:
- Home Page
- Products
- Services
- Contact Us
- About Us
For larger Web sites, you might want a multi-level page layout looking something like this:
- Home
- Home Page
- Products
- Product 1
- Product 2
- Product 3
- Services
- Service 1
- Service 2
- Service 3
- Downloads
- Download 1
- Download 2
- Download 3
- Links
- Web Links Page
- Company
- About Us
- Contact Us
You can use the above layouts as a general guide to get you started laying out your own Web site.
Of course, you are free to use any layout you want. But the ones above are pretty typical and visitors to your Web site may find it easier to find what they're interested in on your site if your site's layout is similar to ones they've seen before. Just remove those pages that are not related to your site and add any new pages not shown above.
If you are able to come up with your page list, along with the text for each page, SoftCircuits.NET will be able to rapidly build a custom Web site from that information and you'll be sure that the site says exactly what you want to say.
Please contact us if you need any additional information.
